The Life of David Gale (2003)

Rating ***/5

One of the awesome drama/crime movies I have ever seen. The pace of the movie is little slow which is big turn off for many but if you keep a little bit more patience you'll find brilliance of Kevin Spacey and Laura Linney both of my fav actors. The central theme of the movie moves around death sentencing in Texas, which has awarded the highest number of capitol punishments in history of United States. Kevin and Laura play two  prof's who are staunch activist against the Capitol punishment, and are desperate to convince the Governor of Texas that innocent man can be put through on death bed without proper trial, check the movie to get surprises and chills that may be running down your  spine.
Brilliant script and brilliant acting.... not a typical Hollywood fun movie go if you are a critic :D

Rabbit proof fence is story of  Aussie aboriginal harassment and highlights harassment on the whit Aborigines to eliminate 'half-caste' children. A girl is abducted under a weired Australian Aborigine law where she is taken to a church boot camp to teach the equities of a white person. The girl runs away and treks 1500 mile road along the fence to reach her house, brilliant cinematorgraphy of aussie country side, also a wonderful depiction of 'tracker' character played by David Gulpilil.

A very good movie

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)

Rating **** /5

Curious case of Benjamin Button is one of the most brilliantly crafted movie, I highly recommend watching it. Taraji P. Henson almost makes us feel Brad Pitt is her son very very solid performance by her. Special Kudos to the writers , visual effects/art direction, makeup artists who have delivered a essence to the very origial screenplay. Brad Pitt's personality fits well in the movie and adds zing to the young viewers who go to watch him. The last scene in the movie, where Blanchet takes Benjamin on a walk struck my mind vividly. Kudos to the wonderful direction and story, I wished it had topped the oscars for best direction and best movie.

A must watch movie

Slumdog Millionaire (2008)

Rating: ** /5

Slumdog millionare, is a stereotypical hindi movie who's marketing is done by brilliant hollywood producers, full marks to them. The movie consists of Romance,Thrill,Action, vulgarity, song and dance which are typical ingredients in a masala movie. Although I have to admit that i was moved by the scene in which Jamal jumps into a pool of poo but apart from that i don't really relish it. Indian stars Anil Kapoor are relishing the right place at right time fame, but Irfan deserves all the respect. Kudos to Rehman, he deserves an oscar although like me all Indians beleive that there are much better performances of him but better late then never.

Overall, i think average not a must watch movie if you have seen any other bollywood movie,
